Here are the answers to the questions I get asked the most; don’t hesitate to contact us for more information.
How much will it cost?
Given the broad portfolio of services I offer, the right answer is it depends. That being said, if I can gauge the requirements of a project in terms of hardware, software and work involved, I will provide a written estimate which I will respect, unless important unexpected events were to happen. I also offer fixed price services such as Domain Names, Web Hosting and Website Maintenance Plans.
For the rest, my hourly rate is $75.00 and is reviewed yearly. A minimum of two (2) hours will be billed for an onsite service call, and a minimum of one (1) hour for remote assistance on computers or web assets. Applicable taxes will be added to every invoice.
How do you work?
We start by discussing what you’re trying to solve, I’ll suggest several options and we decide on the best technical solution that will fit your objectives. I will then provide you with an estimate and if accepted, we will sign a services contract which will detail the nature of the work involved as well as a delivery schedule.
A copy of my typical contract is available below in PDF format, so that you may fill it in and send it back once completed by email (info@arseneault.ca) of by fax (450-937-5205).
- French contract: Contrat de services informatiques 2011
- English contract: Computer Services Contract 2011
What methods of payment can I use?
We accept VISA and Mastercard, Paypal as well as personal or company checks. A 50% deposit is required for projects before the work starts, and the balance is due once the work is completed.
For technical computer support or remote web work, the time worked is added up and invoiced on the 1st of every month. Our invoices are due 15 days after being sent, and late fees will apply for any unpaid invoice after 30 days, at a monthly rate or 1.5% (18% annual). The interest will be calculated from the date the invoice was sent.
Am I too far?
For web development and graphics design, no. I have clients throughout Canada and the United States. All the work and communications can take place over email, Skype and/or video conference. I can also offer technical computer support remotely by taking control of your computer through the internet.
However, for onsite technical computer support, I mostly cover the Greater Montreal Area and its immediate shores. If you’re located outside of the green zone on the map below, a $25 charge will be added to your invoice.
