A WinSCP Equivalent, Please?
I’ve been a big fan of WinSCP on the Windows platform for a while now. Being an ex-Norton Commander user, I was always fond of the two-pane interface, providing quick folder operations and transfers.
I’ve yet to find something as useful on the Linux and OS X platform. Someone chime in if you know better, but I’ve got gFTP installed in Ubuntu, and it doesn’t allow me to edit files on the remote server and save them. Something about different permissions, I guess.
On OS X, I’m using CyberDuck, but I find it slow, although it does provide integration with any txt editor I want (I happen to SubEthaEdit). But transfers involving too many files seem to stop, and the interface is not as clean/obvious as WinSCP. Suggestions anyone?
