Plans for Germany

I really wish I had more time to plan this business trip… After having gotten a few books from the local library, I’ve decided that I would go to Koln on my arrival, after having checked to my hotel. Since I’ve only got a half-day, and Koln is about 40km away, that’ll give me plenty of time to visit this beautiful city.

On the Sunday, I plan on doing a really grand tour of the region. Right now, it’s looking like an early start toward Liege (Belgium), going down to Luxembourg, east to Koblenz and then back up to Dusseldorf through Bonn. ViaMichelin tells me this is a 617km roadtrip, which should be plenty of fun and offer beautiful scenery. By leaving at 08:00, shooting for a 18:00 return and planning for 5 hours of driving, this leaves me about 5hrs for random visits along the way, most likely a castle somewhere and some nice little hamlets. And beer, of course.

Ok, back to preparing my luggage and making sure I’m not forgetting anything, technology-wise!
