Tweaking my WordPress Template

I’ve made a few modifications today to fix some things that bugged me for a little while. First, I was looking for a way to change the ranking that showed on the sidebar, from the All Times High to what happened in the last 30 days. I’m using Alex King’s Popularity Contest plugin, and found this gem he posted to the WordPress support discussions, so that I can show the most popular ports in the last n days to my frontpage…

Simply add the following to your plugin file, in the appropriate section, and call it from sidebar.php

Also, I decided to add a count to the number of posts for each month. That gives me an idea of when I contributed, and where I stand in the current month. I simply added the &show_post_count=1 to the wp_get_archives, according to the WordPress Codex article.
