VMware Server – New and Free!

Wow. The VMware team is really firing from all cylinders lately. First a major upgrade to VMware Workstation to allow 64-bit OSes. Then the free VMware Player. Now this: a free VMware Server product, which acts as en entry point to their ESG/GSX product lines. This is just too cool.

They just may convince me to buy myself a nice 1U server for home, and virtualize it with a bunch of my favorite OSes – just to make sure I’m covering every angle :),
